A disaster from heaven have fallen to Tamil Nadu, Many cities of Tamil Nadu is suffering from heavy rain and flood. Its being many days we are hearing about it on TVs, Newspaper – But guys its time to take it seriously. These kind of calamity can come to any of the city, State of India.

This is an off-topic post, we just want from you guys to do something for Humanity (#ProveHumanity). As on 3rd December more than 269 peoples have died in the flood – Image the pain of their family. Chennai’s Difficulty will be continue for few more days and those need our help and support. Things are getting worse day by day.
100 years of rain record has been broken this time, First time Chennai peoples are experiencing such kind of natural disaster. Houses are getting flooded, Household things are not safe at all, Small houses and huts are totally vanished and people those who were living on the roads are praying god to help them to save their life.

If humans are facing such difficulties in surviving in this situation – image the pain of animals – They are homeless and no one is bordered for them, Peoples are fighting for their own lives, how they can afford to help others (Especially animals).
Even these small children can understand the pain of an animal 🙁
Chennai is helpless right now – Railway stations, Highways, Airport and every essential things required for living is missing. Even Drinking water is not available for each victim, Government and some NGOs are giving away foods but its impossible to give meal to each and every victim.


“Do what you can!” for Chennai victims. We are sharing some of the ways with which you can actually help such homeless victims. We are humans and after all we are Indian – “We can’t see others starving in such harsh condition, If you can help for a Re.1 also then go for it – Tamil Nadu needs support from each of us, We can help each one of them in our own way”. 2. Best use of Social Media

Social media platforms such as facebook and twitter has proved so much helpful for flood victims. By just a tweet you can get help in few minutes. NGOs, Governmental agencies, Private companies and even common peoples are helping victims in many ways.

A. Twitter

  • If you are in any trouble and requires any kind of help just tweet your problem with hastag – #ChennaiRainsHelp and also if you are save anyhow and want to help other poor peoples in Chennai then use this hastag to tell other victims what you can afford to help them – Shelter, food, water and etc are being common utilities. 
  • Vodafone India – “Can’t trace your dear one in Chennai? DM your & person’s name & Vodafone no, will SMS u in 2hrs their last called location.” Tweet using this hashtag #ChennaiRainsHelp

  • Common peoples are helping others through Social media platform. Remember the hashtag  #ChennaiRainsHelp
  • OLA Cabs are running OLA Boats in order to help victims in emergencies. Just tweet to get any help – OLA’s Chennai team is there to sort it out. Ola has created safety zones equipped with relief supplies and first aid. This service is open to everyone, free of cost, with address details and contact numbers provided – Here (OLA Boats).

  • Here’s how ShopperStop is helping users by giving away free drinking waters and many other such brands are out helping others.

  • Mobikwik is offering Rs.30 free recharge to flood victims for free by just a tweet – Source | Tweet @ibnlive Mobile number using hastag #RechargeChennai to get the recharge.
  • Facebook has launched safety check for people in Chennai – Another great use of Social Media in such condition. Without electricity, many have been stranded in the affected areas and not able to contact their family. Therefore, mark them safe if you know they are okay. 3. Eat some food to gain some strength :-


Zomato launched a scheme where they will provide meals for flood relief victims in very low cost. Meals can be purchased for 2, 4 and hundred peoples. They will deliver it to you safety in such harsh rain. Meal for 2 in just Rs.100 , 4 in Rs.200 and meal for 100 peoples in Rs.5000 – Visit here

Zomato stated that over 55,000 meals were donated by the general public in the 12 hours the campaign was active.


4. Stay Calm, Stay Strong !!


Other than Social helps its very important for a victim to stay calm and strong. Don’t loss your hope – Take decisions carefully and don’t be in any kind of hassle, Keep yourself strong and stay in touch with your family and friends. Help yourself and help others also if possible.
